We are a great community of young families, professionals,  and senior citizens.  Our close proximity to downtown make our neighbourhoods a great place to live, work and raise a family.

What is a BIA and what does it do?

A Business Improvement Area  is dedicated to economic development.

A BIA is a non-profit association of business owners that join together to promote and improve the economic vitality of their business district.
The main purpose of a BIA is to revitalize and maintain a dynamic commercial area and promote the area as a business or retail destination.
The mandate of a BIA is to encourage the economic and physical improvement of local businesses through beautification and maintenance of streetscapes, buildings and structures in the area, and to promote the area as a business and shopping district.

We believe a strong vibrant community involves the support and commitment of the local businesses, schools, not-for-profits, families, and individuals.

How Can You Get Involved?

If you like to be involved in your community and make a difference, our BIA is just the place to do that.  We have several opportunities for you to join us in making our area a great place to live, shop, and connect with the neighbours.

Open a Business

We have great businesses in our shopping district!  We have a great mix of big box businesses with a lot of unique ‘mom and pop’ shops.  Currently we would love to have a coffee shop, a flower shop and a gift shop in our area.  There are some lovely retail spots available with great visibility.  Come join the fun!

Move into our area

Our mature communities are full of big trees, lots of greenery and flowers.  You instantly feel at home as you walk down the streets and greet your neighbours.  There are plenty of green spaces and places for the kids (and dogs) to run and play.

Real Estate is still very reasonable and with the “Great Neighbourhoods” program starting soon, we will see new street lights and other improvements happening soon.

Join Our Board of Directors

We have a few more openings for some new Crossroads BIA board members.  If you are a local business owner and would like a say in how the BIA is run, come join us!

Volunteer Your Time

Our BIA has several events each year and we are always looking for volunteers to lend a helping hand.  We have other projects we run through-out the year as well that are ways to meet your neighbours and make a difference in your community.

About Us

Currently, we are a board of five local business owners and an Executive Director.
