Dr. David Kelner is Associate Clinical Professor in the School of Dentistry. He is actively involved in Aboriginal Health Horizon Days and is an interviewer for the selection committee of Aboriginal applicants for the Doctor of Medicine Program at the University of Alberta. Dr. Kelner is education chair for the Canadian Federation of Clinical Hypnosis-Alberta Society. He has implemented hypnosis for anxiety and pain control in his dental practice for 18 years and is currently working to promote clinical hypnosis across the health professions.
William was born in the Netherlands. At the age of eight he came to Canada, coming directly to Edmonton – a much different city then than it is now. He is married to Joan, who is originally from the Philippines. They have one son, Sean.
William attended Edmonton schools and eventually graduated from the NAIT Denturist Program. He’s been in the business for 30 years. He likes his work so much it feels like a hobby.
